Following these simple aftercare tips will help reduce irritation, prevent ingrown hairs, and keep your skin looking and feeling its best.

The First 24 Hours After Your Sugaring Appointment

Immediately after your treatment, your hair follicles are open and your skin is more sensitive. During the first 24 hours, avoid:

• Swimming pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans
• Hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and hot baths
• Strenuous exercise or activities that cause excessive perspiration
• Sexual intercourse (following bikini or Brazilian sugaring)

These precautions help reduce the risk of bacterial or viral infections while allowing your skin time to recover naturally.

Prevent Ingrown Hairs with Regular Exfoliation

One of the best ways to prevent ingrown hairs after professional sugaring is to begin exfoliating 48 hours after your appointment.

Exfoliate the treated area 1–3 times per week using a gentle exfoliating mitt, brush, or scrub. Regular exfoliation removes dead skin cells so new hair can grow through the skin instead of becoming trapped underneath.

Consistency is key to maintaining smooth, bump-free skin.

Moisturise Every Day

Healthy skin is hydrated skin.

Apply a natural, petroleum-free moisturiser daily to keep your skin soft, supple, and healthy. Well-moisturised skin allows new hair to grow through more easily while reducing dryness and irritation.

Products containing petroleum can create a barrier on the skin, so choosing lightweight, natural moisturisers is the better option after sugaring.
